Yum Yum goes to University!

It’s that time of year again, a whole bunch of fresh-faced young things are descending upon Manchester as the new University year kicks off. To mark the occasion and welcome our new students, we’re putting on a big bash at the Students’ Union club, Club Academy tomorrow night (Tuesday 22nd Sept). We will be joined by our good friend Woody Madera, party DJ extraordinaire and all round turntable genius!

What’s happening in our Dropbox…

First of all I gotta say sorry… cause we were a little bit lazy when it came to checking out our dropbox. Here’s some stuff I stumbled upon when logging in this morning. The guys are called The Surecut Kids. Show them some love on Facebook if you like their remixes and definitiley check out their blog for some laughter.

I kinda like their stuff although I think their remix of Daniel Haaksman gets a bit boring in time. Otherwise funny bmore stuff which is always good for a play. Enjoy!

True Blood Season Finale sucked…

…or is it just me? havent been involved in a tv show that much in a long time. with characters as uniquily dumb and full of clichees as Andy Bellefleure, Jason Stackhouse or Lafayette. Seldomly have i seen a show with characters packed that were as intriguingly dumb as these guys. I LOVED IT. it was all working towards the big finale, EP 10 was on some town turns Zombie shit and then EP 11, which was nothing but an hour long lead-in to nothing, where is did all that real looney stuff go, christian fanatics? the god with horns? etc – all the magic d’esprit just went “poof”. Imagine going to a 8 course meal and getting some Freedom fries served as the main menue. Sookie & Bill are on some Twilight crap – screw that. To put it into Andy Bellefleures Words “Aww Shiaat. i don’t believe it. you devil – worshipping whores” or simly LAAAAME

Hey now, i have alwway been a huge fan of kiva.org the micro loan website for people in need of help all over the world. And recently i have discovered kickstarter.com which does a similiar thing, but only by focusing on discovering and funding projects in your area. why not take the extremly well-working idea of microaloans to the next level and apply it to art projects and other creative or interesting stuff that needs private funding – in order to keep its independence and thus originality.
