Here’s one more story to show how blessed I am in having a job like this here. Of course from time to time you feel like you have no enthusiasm at all, no connection to the things you do daily, or the days are just grey, grey, grey…  and it feels like your goals will never be achieved.  Mostly right at that point is where I can’t ignore my own thoughts that get bigger and louder asking for other adventures, questioning my daily being, judging myself for not looking deeper and being afraid of the passing of time. Right at this exact point along comes a song like this. A song that reminds you directly of your true path. To listen and support other people. That’s what i do best and what i enjoy the most. I want to thank our close friend wolfskind for introducing us to Ninski with his excellent Remix for wolfskind’s ‘Stone Cold Thriller‘ . So this one here is already his second release on Tanz Dich Glücklich – keep up the good work young jedi! …and thank you for showing us the bright sight of life with this collabo tune :)

HtPkt’s original Running was already a song we had on our radar, but before we could even flinch, this remix shows up by the two of them. I think the future has great things in mind for these two craftsmen, who are still both experimenting in many waters it seems, but at this early stage already show some serious talent. And not to forget Bri Tolani with her beautiful floating vocal tones and emotionally charged intonations. Her work ethic and dedication will sooner or later pay off big time. And i can tell that she is busy hardworking one, bc we just did another song with her. A somehow weird and bizarre, but super danceable Ace Of Base Cover, and Bri’s work ethic was superb. It’s always perseverance that makes the difference between failure and success, between losing and winning. In any case this track, and all three protagonists are a WIN!

ps not to be misogynistic here we are in the right order ;)

1484109733256

It has been a long time! And starting right now we are back with our monthly YUM YUM Top Tunes!

Much has changed, the world has gotten even madder than before, a lot of cry babies left & right, and since we are so knee-deep in math at the moment and super involved in making, curating and diffusing music, we thought it would be the perfect time to bring back our YUM YUM Top Tunes. The Top Tunes have been running for a decade, until we stopped in ’12 or ’13, ever since Obama installed that immigration ban on Iraqis & Cubans. I don’t even really remember, but they have been an inspiration to many folks throughout the years, so we’ll have it up on the blog every 1st Friday of the month + an according Spotify Playlist, since you folks are all ‘super digitally on fleek” these days. Russian Hacker style!

The political compass is changing and i mean literally shapeshifting, like never seen before and conspiracy theories are being proven right by the dozen. So here’s this months Fake News Soundtrack to accompany you into La-la Land while the media tries to brainwash you MK Ultra Style with another Moloch loving plastic artist – to keep you forever trapped and bubbling in your bubbly mood bubble. So hop aboard the Soul Train and enjoy this months ride aaaaand….

Ps After much research has been conducted we can now scientifically prove that Facebook is cancer!

Follow the YUM YUM Top Tunes on Spotify. At least Spotify was built by the guy who invented U-Torrent, so it still has a distant scent of un peu de piratique! Here is a button, so click the button and follow the button. Cause you know how to push a button, you beautiful digital Wunderkind!

Cajsa Siik – Talk To Trees

cajsa siik chromemusic

Another lovely and super talented Artist we can call ourselves happy to work with. Cajsa Siik – anytime she starts singing and her wispy voice is filling space I want to get up stroked by a feather, take her hand and follow this beautiful lady into the woods. I always imagined she could talk to animals up there in Sweden where she is living. So of course she is talking to trees, too. No doubt. Fun fact I just discovered while writing this post and collecting the links – her label’s name’s Birds Records and I couldn’t think of a better brand to release her brilliant music.

Our beloved producer Duo Lakechild has done some pretty good work with their Remix of Cajsa’s Single “Higher” back in 2014. Check it out if you haven’t already. And another bird tweeted me ‘The YUM YUM’s’ are already working on another version of one of her songs. So exciting how the world is turning!

Talk to Trees is the 1st Single of her upcoming album DOMINO. Can’t wait listen to all the songs.

BIinding – End of the earth

Making The Revenant was about man’s relationship to the natural world. A world that we collectively felt in 2015 as the hottest year in recorded history. Our production needed to move to the southern tip of this planet just to be able to find snow. Climate change is real, it is happening right now. It is the most urgent threat facing our entire species, and we need to work collectively together and stop procrastinating. We need to support leaders around the world who do not speak for the big polluters, but who speak for all of humanity, for the indigenous people of the world, for the billions and billions of underprivileged people out there who would be most affected by this. For our children’s children, and for those people out there whose voices have been drowned out by the politics of greed. I thank you all for this amazing award tonight. Let us not take this planet for granted. I do not take tonight for granted. Thank you so very much.

“The End Of The Earth’ is the third studio track from London act Blinding. The lo-fidelity backdrop of subs, field recordings and piano sets the scene for the haunting soul vocals of frontman Tom Sutcliffe. Ripped out of the Massive Attack and Portishead template and reinterprited, Blinding have a beautiful and unique sonic. I would die for this, I would do it with ease.”
