YUM YUM Top Tunes | March/17

The old world’s gone mad, not many things that will keep us sane, and surely it won’t be music but maybe it can at least be what it’s originally intended for – maybe it can soundtrack your daily shitposting. And surely it won’t be any celebs illuminating our minds, be it musicians or the self-righteous Hollywood elite with their double standards, who are constantly chakra-fucking the masses with their moral superiority. Pretty easy to preach down when you are a filthy rich millionaire and are so out of touch with reality, that you are actually doing the very same thing that you are condemning. So last month the oscars happened and a couple of other things that generations before us cared about and that used to be big in the last century – you probably forget it already while facebook is napalming your perception of reality & yourself perpetually. It’s nice to see it all fade out and funny to monitor social media’s censorship and super entertaining to dive into different social media demographics & age groups, that have such a clearer and better view of reality. “They live (1986)” was a documentary!

Ps parts of Paris have been burning for a full month now.

The same blindness applies to us, the well-connected, globalized, urban, cultural elitists. We live a somewhat privileged, well isolated life and can always escape situations that make us feel uncomfortable or are even dangerous, but that is only the flight or fight part of our brain at work. As well as making continuous decisions on non-critical thinking, but based on empathy/ sympathy. I think my generation is almost completely lost, but that’s not so bad bc the children truly are the future and they are not ready to carry our self imposed ideological cross, that was actually nothing more but a ghetto for our minds, any further. It was a way to keep the useful idiots brainbugged and struggling for the opposite and entirely deceitful purpose. But instead of riding the spice merchant horse any further, let us get into our super-dank monthly top tunes, and if you happen to not like a tune, it must be the Russian Hackers again…. reeeeeeeee

An Ode To Erykah Badu. Tereza pres. Baduology [Mixtape]

Tereza with a nice tribute to Erykah Badu in celebration of her Birthday and the 20th anniversary of her outstanding debut Album ‘Baduizm’. Fine wine of a mix and i like the exclusive remixes within, but i’m missing the Free Download Button here.

BADUOLOGY is my personal ode to the ‘analogue girl in the digital world’ in celebration of the 20th anniversary of her debut album ‘Baduizm’ which is still one of my all-time-favorite LPs. It features some of Queen E’s most significant work from the past two decades, alongside songs sampled on Badu records as well as unique skits and blends, all edited and mixed by myself.

The most special thing about it? It contains 14 exclusive contributions from some of my favorite producers / vocalists! S/o Bluestaeb // Brenk Sinatra // Dexter // Duktus // IAMNOBODI // Kabuki // Klimeks // Luka // Masego // Noah Slee // Serious Klein // S.Fidelity // Silkersoft // Thallus

SAVAGE AF ::: Xloxlyp & Flamongo & Hartry “Drifting”

Savage af !

Brilliant little gem here. Really caught my attention the 3rd or 4th time i heard it. As simple as it is, this is a super welcome change of pace, even though using the commonly featured elements known from current and past trap & future bass tracks, it has something very organic and juicy about it. Really hard for me to put my finger on, even though describing music, one is always super tempted to point towards the gracious tender vocals or the uber awesome production. None of that really applies, even though i am super digging the arrangement and the way her vocals just drift (no pun) and glide across the simple but super effective beat. Gosh i actually love the vocals. While everybody’s going the Chainsmokers route and/or the super played Future Bass approach. This track is not jumping on the bandwagon. Ps watch it work on the dance floor, it has that raw gritty element that all those lip gloss future bass tracks are missing, while it still sounds super easy on the ear. You can tell i dig this tune — mucho. And what i think strikes a chord with me is that it’s the perfect balance between Macho Man Randy Savage & Miss Elizabeth —> Savage af

Currently my favourite tune when playing action packed games! This track gets my full stoned gamer state of mind approval & certificate. According to iTunes i listened to “Drifting” 69 times last Saturday while revisiting Arkham City. kek

ps i really hope you guys have more tracks like this in the works, you need to feed the hunger ;)

Add it to your Spotify and put it on repeat!

HEAVY HITTER ::: Damzky “Heal” feat Amanda Alexander

Banging

We used to call tracks like this secret weapons. When you hear a track like this from a yet unknown artist and see it work on the dancefloor from a Djs perspective , you understand why we would call it that. In all seriousness, this a my favourite track atm. Stone Cold Thriller here – with it’s positive lyrics and super well sung vocals, the track somehow manages to deliver a drop that is still savage af . Makes you wanna go apeshit, do backflips, any kind of physical gymnastics or simply having full epileptic bounces. Damzky drops a heavy tune right here and it’s one of those that you look up when a playlist is is running in the back. That’s how i came across this massive chooooon!

I’d love to see Jihadi Jesus & Jackie 4Chan do some spasms to it @ HWNDU Part 2.

This track is all fun & games. I can see myself doing all kind of physical gymnastics that you only perform in video games. Perfect Zeitgeist tune and a highly recommanded!
