What a night – i cant remember playing a longer set then the one this night – had a rough time adjusting the PA – but it was worth the wait. The cheering, singing and dancing just made it a night to remember. Our new Top Tune Selection really made an impact: 1. London Payback – James Brown vs Fergie (YUM YUM Vers) 2. Canââ¬â¢t hurry Loveâ? – The Supremes vs KRS-1 (YUM YUM Vers) 3. âShe Bopâ? Cindy Lauper vs Nelly Furtado 4. âTake control by Amerie (strongest production out there) 5. âStereoâ – John Legend 6. âDaydreaminâ? Lupe Fiasco & Jill Scott (+ his entire Album) 7. âShe wants a Sey backâ? Justin Timberlake vs N.e.r.d.Somehow i started taking songs that i do not like, like Fergies London Bridge, and try to mold it into something that i very much enjoy – like the ââ¬ÅLondon Payback? mix. Ps there is definitely not anything out there that a little James Brown injection couldnââ¬â¢t hype. The YUM YUM set and sound is growing and flourishing. |

Last Fridays YUM YUM was mad packed. Too bad the situation with the second area wasn’t cleared, as it was shut down early while there still were masses of people inside (and outside – what’s going on doormen?). The whole night was for a YUM YUM night a bit too much reggae flavoured – as of course the Roots Rockers were playing in the main area. I know a wee bit of the YUM YUM sound was missing and it wasn’t the regular kind of night, but it was good after all and next time it will be back to the YUM YUM Sound in its original content and style. With the original cast/crew of Chrome & Jaws. So next big YUM YUM night with a new playlist on Friday November 3rd 2006. Looking forward. . Hope you enjoyed last Fridays new YUM YUM Cds. They are also to be found at Chicas, We Shop & Play Records. PS. fellow colleague Tand Williams set up a YUM YUM account on myspace. Not a big fan of myspace .Anyways listen to the music.(like there is no other portal which can do more for you). YUM YUM on myspace. This months Top tune selection gets eaten up by everybody. |
Big, big October dance ahead of us. A very good friend of ours, Max Mausser, will be our guest on our upcoming night (October 21st) and together with Resident Tand Williams, he will bring the house down. The two of them are by far the youngest members of the YUM YUM family – thus meaning they still have a lot to prove – not only to themselves but also to the audience. Its going to be a head to head race with the freshest and latest versions and remixes. still taking care of the dancefloor. Max Mausser is the most promising of Djs amongst the ranks of the next generation and also is he the resident Dj for our befriended night and Old School fave Rewind!

Last Friday was a blast- Live atmosphere & a live crowd that really did it. By the early hours we all were exhausted from a unique night that was a massive dance with all the people inside enjoying themselves to the max and loads of smiley faces all around. Our new versions went down extremly well and people were chanting âRockin Robinâ? and by âRoxannes Humpsâ? you felt like this was one those Coppa del Mundo Songs and you stood in the midst of a brazilian crowd. This months YUM YUM Top tune selection just seems to do it for everybody. Truly massive night . Great new YUM YUM ahead of us on Friday Oct. 20th. Really looking forward/ Thx for making it mine

Really had to do No. 1 this month. Finally a mix that would match the original Smily Faces track of Gnarls Barkley. The young 11- year old Michael Jackson fitted just perfectly and so did Meth & Redman. While No.2 was a nuisance – I am not a fan of the Black Eyed Peas – i just wanted to see if i can incorporate one of their
many accapellas into a track that i like without automatically making it suck. This one works – it had its testrun last week. “Roxannes Humps” seems to work extremly well – Sting keeps on singing about how she doesn*t have to sell her body to the night while Fergie keeps bragging on about her Humps. Well no need to be a prostitute is all i can say. As for the rest – there are plenty of great tunes that you are gonna get to hear this Friday October 6th. Looking forward for a big, big night.
Another superb YUM YUM Top Tune selection for September is on its way and hooray, it is back to the original team that started NRW: Chrome & Tand Williams, who is by now a household name and is definitely running things up north. Looking forward to see the entire YUM YUM family again and don’t forget the night before the same team – or the original core will play at its foundation in munich.
Expect the latest in homegrown mashups, remixes, booties and an all new YUM YUM selection paired with the, by now, already classic YUM YUM tunes. A brilliant night ahead of us – one of plenty to follow. A brilliant audience with All Smiley Faces…
- Caine & Cheeba Method Man vs Eric Clapton
- Rock with your Love Pharrell & Kanye vs Michael Jackson
- Doo Wop & Smiles Lilly Allen vs Lauryn Hill
- I love my hottest B**** Busta & Kelis vs the Beatconductor
- Stand by every breathe Ben E. King vs The Police (only available as Videostream)
