Finally the album is here… we wrote about Sallie Ford over a year ago, even had one of her songs (Danger) in our annual top tunes and the way i described their sound was “…I feel the sun shining through in their music, i feel like sippin a cold lemonade under a summer tree near the lake… and seriously it has such an open and positive vibe (aargh words again) – Simply love this band.”
And thank god, their debut album is no different!!! Check it out and please make sure to get it. Here s a link to their new Album “Dirty Radio” via itunes and their 2010 EP via bandcamp.
Ps i really really want to see you guys live, so make sure to tour the Eu anytime soon… uh …please!

This is great interpretation of the Uber famous Moloko classic and its a song for all the people i know, that always complain about how it used to be better, that constantly talk about the good old days. First of i see young people, i mean real kids talking about the good old days…WTF? Well i got news for you… its all in your mind. Sure your body gets older, it accumulates wisdom & experineces as the mind does and you have an incredible privilege of seeing it all, of living it all – you have just grown tired of the your daily routines, had similar experiences over and over, you have become quick to judge on everything and that prevents you from seeing and experiencing every given moment. And then you complain, about the world instead of changing it within yourself. Well i like this song and if you intend to bring it back, you have to start with your own self and nobody else. Ps this is a great, great piano version, and something thats perfect to play when breaking down, not the music but the mood of the dance. Did it last weekend – people loved it… ah those were the days.. hahahaha

James Blakes “Wilhelm Screm” is easily one of this years best tracks and seriously, dropping it in a mix on top of a doubletime track, makes the people go “whoa”, but only the original, none of the many remixes, edits – it slows it down, but gives the dance a certain deepness thats always missing – clubnights & dances have turned into Hollywood movies, full of CGI and Special effects but no storylines, plots, unpredictable twists and emotional rides.
The Wilhelm Scream track should be definitely among the top 2011 tunes in various playlists. I didn’t know that it was a cover and that the original is such a good track. The comments on SC hint that it was James Blakes dad, but i didnt investigate. Liked it at first listen and thats all that matters.
