Oh I’ve been waiting a while for this moment. Pleasure to meet you Pretty Pink. Finally there is a girl playing in the arena of the deep house circus nowadays. Female Djs are rare in general and I can tell most of them just do it because it fits good in the model-celebrity-Fashion Week-world. Let’s be honest… I found Jacko Hooper and his stunning track ‘Egg Shells’ already this summer. While wandering through Barcelona his music was all around (well, all over my phone, but yeah… all around me :)) I had every frozen Chai with it, it accompanied me while I was working through my bucket list with all culture-touristic-trips you can do there (still some left, so I have to come back… too bad ;)) and even the cigarette in front of the sea side tasted better with this kind of quality music.

So why didn’t I share it with you guys? Well, that’s when we started having a more defined vision of what we are about to do now. A vision that is coming true now. So we got caught up in those mind games and while planning we were so sure we had already posted Jacko’s ‘Egg Shells’ since it was such a household song to us. Because it’s too good not to. We know ;)

So yesterday I stumbled across a mail by Jacko. And at this point I started laughing…I seriously never got around to one of our favourite songs of this summer.

Hahahaha…stupid. Isn’t exactly this the beauty of life? Sharing the small things with people you care about or simply the world? Yes it is. So, sorry Jacko for supporting you only now. And sorry universe for hiding this EP for such a long time…Enjoy! It will give you the perfect mood for cozy nights at home. With your loved ones.

We Are Sure Glad Our Buddy Wolfskind Finished His Song: “Build You A Castle”

This hit us like a german Blitz… and those are notorious for being efficiently harmful. Sorry just picking up on the many lines my british folks are constantly mocking us with. Damn, i though these days were over ;) Anyways, here is Wolfskind, a friend of our family & clique (suggested by Lakechild!) and besides having already put out a considerable and definitely noteworthy amount of quality releases via his Soundcloud, i think it’s safe to say that his original tune (meaning it’s not sample based) is by far his best work to date. Not to lessen his previous efforts, but sincerely how many of the Remixer-turned-producer Soundcloud-celebrities have a good solo offering that doesn’t rip another song? Yep, in case you didn’t know, my sarcasm possibly made you guess it… It’s pretty much tends to < 5% (a rough but still friendly estimate). Wolfskind aka Lucas is now my prime example for a prominent 5%er (besides the Wyclef Jean and the Poor Righteous Reachers :). “Build you a castle” will stick with you and if that’s a glimpse of what’s to come – i for one salute this young man!In his own words the production of this tune must have been quite the journey: “I have started this track 4-5 months ago, I don’t really remember, but I hated it when it was finished… 1-2 months ago I was so sad that I didn’t finish it… so I reworked everything and this came out. I give it away for free as always and I would love to get your support!”. In the immortal words of the prophetic J.Geils band “Love stinks!” And those who like to play that game are mentally challenged to say the least and possessed by roleplaying entities. I am so glad Wolfskind is over that phase and we can set sail for new shores. Looking forward to more material.

YUM YUM Sound As Its Best: Alo Wala – Cityboy EP

After this track by ALO WALA found its way to all our YUM YUM Djs two weeks ago we all are dancing to it on every party and even at home its on repeat all day long. It keeps me away from my official first winter depression. So now the whole EP is out and supports my confidence to win against this f*** cold weather, the grey sky and short periods of daylight over here. Thanks for this little piece of sun!
