YUM YUM in Austria – taking off in January

About that, we figured it would make more sense to start out in January with the new year and all.So Dj Bewares night in Vienna will be at Cafe Leopold – Museumsquartier, thinking about doing a second one in Graz. I’ll know soon enough. Januarys set for the Wax Wreckaz, who will be running things in Innsbruck at Blue Chip. Schowi knows the club and says its alive and kicking besides my man Jacob is running things there. About the 4th and final austrian city, Salzburg, i will be able to give more detail as soon as i have seen these new venues in action, possibly this Thursday. Will be in Vienna on Tuesday to Thursday so hit me up. !!Ps check out Bewares radio show on FM4 – FM4 Unlimited (from Monday to Friday from 2pm to 3pm with him, Functionist and international guests and guest mixes by international djs). yes there is new YUM YUM mix on its way (too be honest its actually a couple ones coming), but this one will be handed out the same night everything goes down in Berlin, Frankfurt and Munich (Nov, 21st, 28th & 29th). it will be also available in our befriended shops the week after our mini-tour.and after that you’ll find it online.

Uwe Kaa of Roots Rockers

A new release is coming out of Munich town. Uwe Kaa, lead-singer of the Roots Rockers (who are well known not at least starring at YumYum playing excellent roots orientated sets), releases his solo-debut album “Endlich Single” on October 31^st. The album features fresh reggae vibes, good german lyrics (rare enough) and vocals from Uwe and productions from London´s Jstar, Vienna´s Irievibrations Crew, Munich´s Oneness Band, Uwe´s long time music-partner Andybee and the Scrucialists from Switzerland. Last but not least I did a remix for him a year ago, a remix of his big hit “Dancehall Story”, giving the tune a dancefloor/ treatment. PSA – recap of YUM YUM last Friday in Munich & NRW

Last Friday was amazing. We are back in full mode and after having a couple of bad dates (with weather catastrophes included), seems YUM YUM is back in full gear. Glad to let you all know that i re-discovered my virtuosity with playing serato just as i used to coin my old dubplates before. Took some time and some relearning – but the people are the proof. Last Friday was nothing short of a proof for that and it seems the little campaigning and the promo did their thing, while the sound has evolved without ignoring the history. Meaning people were singing along the tunes from the top of their lungs while the dance was raging on, on both floors. Our Top Friend floor has its fixed spot in Area 2 and people are seeing it for what it is, the main area gives you the straight forward sound – sprinled with surprises, breaks and tempo changes, while area two is a straight non commercial new style elctric/bmore-ish/bassline kick, which is of course designed for another capacity. Same can be said about NRW where Tand and schowi seemed to have a great time. The proof for both these claims can be found in our full photo Comic books which will be online tomorrow. See you in 2 weeks when we come back with another round of applause on November 7th with our complete entourage and Dj Anonymous from Helsinki.So we’ll be gone till novemeber and leave you with all the new music that we have to offer today. Bild 32.png A new YUM YUM this Friday & Saturday, on October 17th in Munich and on Saturday in Duisburg on Oct 18th. YUM YUM in munich will be run by Chrome, Not:Fx, Max (who is really getting better and better – way to go) and Schlachthof Bronx fellas in area 2 alongside one of the aforementioned dudes. If you came down the last time you know what you are in for. Was a blast last Friday on October 3rd. You know the kind of feeling that is really uplifiting and makes you all euphoric the next day and carries on for some time. Saturdays dj duties will be left to Tand and Schowi in Duisburgs 100meister. You should be in for a treat with these two who know their trade. Ps plenty new music below..
