Yep a new one – this time its not gonna be as chaotic as last time when we had 50 djs down there – still was a nice party with a vivid vibe to an otherwise Oktober(in)fest’ed crowd. Thats 5 points for wordplay. This Friday its gonna be Chrome & Schu & Max behind the decks, bringing you the latest in YUM YUM sound. We are gonna see how we are gonna split up team to have the 2nd area covered. I am looking forward to playing some proper sets after having stepped away from the tables the last time.
New YUM YUM top tune selection is coming this Wednesday. Actually its already finished, we just need to cut it down a bit. Expect the YUM YUM version of Wonderwall along with the top tunes. Cant go ahead and offer you 20 tracks each month. I wanna rather have 5 impeccable ones. More on this Friday also on Wednesday.
Also!!!! The new remix competition will also begin this Wednesday, we havent made up our minds which of the many newly surfaced acapellas to take first.

Finally we have an official date with Top Friend in Munich, Friday October 10th @ Registratur. After having started the same titled blog – topfriendmusic.com -, not too long ago with fellow brethren Schowi, Hannibal, Norbert Schiegl, Schu, Ben Mono & Dj Beware – dedicated more to the tech side of music and still waiting for a proper design to finally launch the blog – things are heating up and we are having our first official night before the websites halfway finished. Check our Top Friend Party on myspace at least.
The past couple of months we have tried to bring across the Top Friend name by having it (the party) play next door to YUM YUM, actually in the 2nd and smaller area. People started liking & recognizing it – telling from the continous whistles and yelling (and i am talking pre Oktoberfest). 
But this time its official, and you are gonna have the entire club & night dedicated to the Top Friend side of music. I am talking Crookers, Mstrkrft, Tepr, Santogold, Mad Descent Stuff, Top Billin and so forth. Speaking of Top Billin – they are gonna be our Special Guestst that night. If you haven’t picked up any of their material so far – do that. These guys are a definitive party. Have been playing their sound for some time and a lot of you people that now YUM YUM will hear similarities in the sound, but leaning more towards the 4/4 and techy side of things with a zeitgeisty bmore attitude – you know wobbly basslines, crunchy breaks and that occasional “Whuut”packed in huge chunks of niceness. All those little things combined that make it hard for your hands to come down. Damn i wrote “zeitgeisty”…

Lile every other 1st Thursday of the month – this Thursday its time for a new YUM YUM at Club Solyanka in Moscow. Moscows prime and leading club with Russias YUM YUM djs & residents Pasha & Gatek. These guys seem to get better every time i hear a mix from them. All overseen by mastermind Chris.

Top Friend even made its way to Moscow and is gonna go down this Saturday at Justo, which is liek Chris puts it the Runner Up in the ongoing best club competition, that he has on his Moscow blog. Worth checking it. Djs will be Pasha & Gatek with special guest Schowi. Check Paschas mix.
Yes the Grandmaster is playing in town, so Grandmaster Flash on Saturday October 18th at the Garden. Not much needs to be said about him and you know what you are in for. So keep it real to the Max.
We will put a little effort behind it to make it the big night it was the last time he played in munich – but this one is gonna go down anyway. Alongside him will be the Wax Wreckaz crew, who are now officially running YUM YUM in Innsbruck, during the winter season and good buddy Dan Gerous, a mashup/hiphop style specialist who is the resident Dj of Rewind at Atomic Cafe.
A couple of YUM YUM versions of Grandmaster Flashs “Message” to keep the memory alive and warm while hiphops body is slowly rotting away. (ps music is constantly changing – just like life is – so the only acceptance there can be is total acceptance of constant change, which is acceptance of everything). And if you are sorry that the good old hiphop days are over, you are either a kid daydreamig about a time that was way different then your imagingantion is telling you, or you are a bitter old guy who is only (in translation) sad and bitter that he himself is getting older. So which one are you?
Anyway this is gonna be a great night for those who like to throw their hands up like they don’t care .. or was it hats? – damn i am getting old.
