The full CD gonna be handed out at the WeSC / Top Friend Party this Saturday @ Cafe King. Djs will be Chrome & Schowi. Expect more goodies from the WeSC folks. Starts early at 10pm and will be open till the real late hours. Me and Schowi are looking forward to playing together again. The mix will give you an idea what you can expect. Should be a good night, especially since Jhi, the guy running Cafe King, amped up his Soundsystem, to give it that special boom thats needed for a proper Top Friend night. Also since this is supposed to be the kick-off night for the Winter Ispo and we are dealing with the We guys, expect this to be a mad house – don’t worry though, all the snowboard kiddies should be hanging out at the other popular snwbrd parties. So come down and join us for a proper Top Friend Extravaganza.

Haven’t done a version in a minute. Here is mix of the Alkoholiks classic “Only when i’m drunk” and one of my favourite mid-tempo tunes of last year Siriusmos “All the Girls”. Fits nicely at 112bpm. You kow when you need to drop this on the floor. This was done with our next YUM YUM in Berlin in mind, Which is ging down on Sat. Feb 28th at my favourite spot Scala.

A nice remix i did in 2004. They had it playing on national television and about everywhere else i went and looked. Just recently it was playing in the background of some Tv show. So a good oppurunity to revisit some of our older material that is still getting major appreciation from around the country.

Taken from my 2004 mixtape: Summit Soundcheck Vol.3 (couldn’t get Logic to export the mix in one piece for some time now, so i guess it’ll be a little bit longer before i can re-up it on here)

recap: Topfriend Munich & YUM YUM Innsbruck

We have a huge weekend behind us. First off we had our first ‘solo’ Topfriend night at the Registratur where we went from the small and tiny Sekretariat to the big main room. I was impressed how people actually accepted the sound from the beginning and gave us a pleasant feedback, although we didn’t rave as hard as in our small room sessions and left out some hits. But besides that it was a decent start and our friend Passion did a good job and showed them youngsters standing behind the booth how to properly use a serato setup in 09. Topfriend will be back on January 31 at Munich’s Cafe King when it is up to Chrome and Schowi at the WeSC Party.

On Saturday we went on and headed to Innsbruck, where we had our highly anticipated YUM YUM Austria Kick-Off with Not:fx and the local Wax Wreckaz crew a.k.a. WWF allstars. The club turned out to be very appropriate and with all the students back in town, Innsbruck was eager for a new party night. We had a good time and people were celebrating the yum yum sound to the fullest. YUM YUM Innsbruck will be back on February 14th with Schu and the Wax Wreckaz (Hitman J. Hart, Bam A. Bigelow & C. Undertaker)

Short recap of last YUM YUM @ 100Meister

Well what can I say… last Saturday was off the hook and I’m still recovering. In fact we had to close the doors at around 1 AM because the club was that much packed packed. Max and I had such a blast and finally I got used to digital djing. Really freaked me out for a while… so thanks for making this one mine!

Unfortunately our photograph is MIA and I haven’t heard anything… so honestly I don’t know if there are any pictures. But if some occur I’ll sure post them. If you’ve shot some hook me up via tand@chromemusic.de.

In fact the place was so much crowded that we will rearrange the stage setting and move the dj booth back to the wall so people can actually dance on stage. Since the stage is crowded anyways this is no big deal to us but will give you some more room for your fancy footwork.

PS: Since I got that asked a lot… we’re also thinking about doing some Top Friend Stuff in the Ruhr Area. We’ll keep you posted abou that. Cheers.

YUM YUM Shanghai, looking for toys at Retro Exhibition

There is a toy exhibition of old asian, retro looking toys, robots and memorabilias taking place. Our man Kamikaze who is also a talented grph artists will go down and check it out. they already started talks – he is gonna try to take some pictures and create a similar looking YUM YUM feel to create their own East-asian artwork. really looking forward to his pictures. Ps. READ THIS! (lol) : A note on finding the place: the warehouse space is down an alley way located at 767 Wanhangdu Lu. Take your cab to Kangding Lu and Wanhangdu Lu, and walk south along Wanhangdu Lu towards Wuding Lu (it’s in the middle of that block). There should be a blue balloon on the “767” address sign of the alleyway on the left side of the street, facing south.

Go into that alley way and walk about 70 feet down, and the space is in a building on your left. There should be someone there directing you and another blue balloon.
