simply beautiful …by Al Green

This song has been a favourite of mine ever since i heard it first, a long, long time ago and anyone who has known me since the age of 18 knows ho much i was into this music instead of the then popular charts – i was a huge Al Green fan and his take on soul music. For those of you who still have my old, old mixtapes you will surely recall this tune and i even remember sampling it for a tune on my headz/downbeat album (think early mo wax/ ninja tune etc) that i finished in 2001 but never released. Time to re-release that album digital – now thats a thought! Hier können kostenlose spiele eine interessante Rolle spielen, da Casual-Game-Unternehmen wie Friv5Online daran beteiligt sind, viele Produkte, Dienstleistungen, Projekte usw. durch Spielmechaniken zu bewerben.

Enjoy Al Greens tune cause its simply beautiful:

John Legend & the Roots “Wake up everybody”

John Legend & the Roots will drop their collaborative album ‘Wake Up!’ on September 21. Its determined to be a pure cover album and will feature remakes of classic songs by artists including Marvin Gaye, Bill Withers, Donny Hathaway and many more. The first single, ‘Wake Up Everybody’ is a rendition of Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes’ 70ies classic, which also features Common and Melanie Fiona. We have had their cover of Ernie Hines classic “Our Generation” up on the site a few weeks back.

Have fun with this beautiful tune, its pure YUM YUM music in its purest essence:

Bobby Womack “What is this?” edit by Maxey & Fred Spider

Our spanish friends Maxey & Fred Spider sent me an album of soul edits they did some time ago, and i always kept forgetting to put at least some tunes up on the site. The entire soul edit album is excellent and right up my alley but you guys should def givt it a name, lol. So here you go with my favourite of the entire bunch: “What is this?” by Bobby Womack in a really nice decent or descreet drum edit. Have fun with another soulful gem fom my soul peoples in Barcelona.

Cee Lo Green Mixtape “Stray Bullets”

Before his Solo Album drops Cee-Lo green drops a neat new mixtape, been all over the nets already but here you go: Download the full thing right here.

If the mixtape is an indicator of the abum it should be quite good.  Whats really worth noticing is that even an american big name made a cover version of Sokos “I kill her” , i think its so funny that this tune went so far. This tune has been a YUM YUM favourite for 2 years now and there seems to be no stopping to this song. Ps there is supposed to be a new Goodie Mob album coming out anytime soon. 2 tunes i pikced from the mixtape…
