GUILTY as Charged! Supercut Of 60 Songs Proves Music Is All The Same

Video editor Joseph Rubino got the genius idea of stitching together 60 songs of different genres that all have “whoa-oh-oh” choruses, from 2006 to 2015. The result is…well, honestly I don’t know.

My first impression was: Ooohhhh shit, this is depressing. It’s all a big lie like almost everything in this world we live in right know. My second reaction: It doesn’t surprise me at all and actually it’s real fun to see such a summary. Plus I always like it if people like Joseph Rubino pay attention to “miracles” like this and the real truth (hahaha) becomes obvious. This shouldn’t pull you down. It’s just one more example of mass production. Like pig farms or the fashion industry. It’s no new fact at all. No, it’s no surprise but probably my disappointed feelings come from the standing that music in our culture is still seen as “art” and something emotional and individual. I think it still is and always will be, but the individual aspect begins by yourself and now a days it’s more important than ever to be aware of the main stream and to follow your own, individual instincts. The gap between prosumer and consumer is shrinking more and more, so take the chance to build your own individuality. And even if it’s main stream – it’s no bad thing to like it anyway :)

Bad Paris feat. Mimoza “I HEART YOU”

39 times you gonna hear the words ‘I love you’. Simple as that but isn’t it still one of the most important messages? And as you can see nobody gets tired of it :) Enjoy the message, it’s for you…

P.S. Ok, reality is different and sometimes you DO get totally tired of this message. And that’s ok, too. But then…

Sepalot “These Tears”

If I would have heard the song by itself I probably wouldn’t have paid attention to it, there is a lot of instrumental music going on right now and beat producers are going crazy. Same with the video…but the combination of both brings up a real piece of art you shouldn’t miss out! And then i figured it was produced by an old friend of mine and the video was done by another friend of mine, that i was doing music with, some long time ago – Makes me like it even more. Kudos!
