Oh Hello…’Hello My Old Heart’ by The Oh Hellos

Because nothing lasts forever
some things aren’t meant to be
but you’ll never find the answers
until you set your old heart free

oh hellos chromemusic

Some days ago I had one of this ‘bottle of wine’ evenings with one of my heart people. We were talking about making the right or wrong decisions, about love, hurt, disappointments, expectations…About past, present, future…how to keep relationships alive, how to love someone else when you sometimes forget to love yourself. At one point my friend just said: Well, whatever it is, no matter in which direction it will lead you – we should always just DO something. Go for it. Try everything you think you need to try in this moment. Just jump in. It is the only way to give you the feeling of being alive. Even if you fall, fail or get hurt…any emotion is better than to feel nothing and life is just passing by like you’re sitting on a train station watching the trains passing by.
Sounds quite easy and actually very simple but anyone knows how hard this can be…and sharing a bottle of wine with a person you really like helps a lot. That’s my advice :)

This song always reminds me of all this. Hello my old heart, how have you been?

We’d Like To Share Some Beauty With You…Introducing Jacko Hooper

jacko Hooper chromemusic

Let’s be honest… I found Jacko Hooper and his stunning track ‘Egg Shells’ already this summer. While wandering through Barcelona his music was all around (well, all over my phone, but yeah… all around me :)) I had every frozen Chai with it, it accompanied me while I was working through my bucket list with all culture-touristic-trips you can do there (still some left, so I have to come back… too bad ;)) and even the cigarette in front of the sea side tasted better with this kind of quality music.

So why didn’t I share it with you guys? Well, that’s when we started having a more defined vision of what we are about to do now. A vision that is coming true now. So we got caught up in those mind games and while planning we were so sure we had already posted Jacko’s ‘Egg Shells’  since it was such a household song to us. Because it’s too good not to. We know ;)

So yesterday I stumbled across a mail by Jacko. And at this point I started laughing…I seriously never got around to one of our favourite songs of this summer.

Hahahaha…stupid. Isn’t exactly this the beauty of life? Sharing the small things with people you care about or simply the world? Yes it is. So, sorry Jacko for supporting you only now. And sorry universe for hiding this EP for such a long time…Enjoy! It will give you the perfect mood for cozy nights at home. With your loved ones.

The One Tune Bon Iver Didn’t Record ! Dinner Date Sets Another Milestone By Remixing Still Parade. It’s A WIN!

Here we have a hauntingly beautiful tune.

ebtU5Qs

If it’s associated with contemporary folk-singer/songwriter indie rock and cutting edge house production the name Dinnerdate has to be closely associated with it, since he was one of the very first ones to push that door wide open and actually walk through it… And ever since he started he has been delivering goods of the highest quality. Bow down and give the man some thanks for the many pleasent moments he has created with his unique mixture of sound – and ps in contrast to many of the young ones riding that formula, and are just in for the bandwagon effect, Dinnerdates material differs a lot since it does stand the test of time. Just check his earliest releases and then go back to this tune. The technical component may have improved but the essence of music, namely transporting and setting emotional states, has stayed true since day one. This tune is no different. Still Parade one of the coolest bands to emerge in recent times get a proper remix by a man who knows what to pick and rework. Quality material that you definitely shouldn’t miss out on. Grab it and make sure to follow him on Facebook and Soundcloud.

And while you’re at it, check out the rest of Still Parades other material via their own Soundcloud (Follow them guys, there is a lot to we can expect here). I have been a fan for a few months and their music is nothing short of bliss. One could say they sound a lot like Bon Iver, but that isn’t such a bad thing, is it?
