YUM YUM 18.08.2006

YUM YUM : Last Friday was a neat packed party – and after one of the two djs that night (schu) almost fainted, due to some little weakness attack, he had to go home at 1.30 a.m. in the morning while the night was just starting out. So i had to come in and back up Jaws (the 2nd dj) with Schus records (!) . Not that much of an easy task considering i didn’t know 85% of his records . Thank god for the invention of the pre-cue button. Well the headphone sex was getting to me after a while.. But nevertheless we were doing all right considering the circumstances and i had to to postpone my day off from not deejaying. Well anyhow on September 1st – it is back to the original team and i will have my very own records on me plus invite Schu probably the month after that once he finishes his upcoming tour. All good and back to normal after last Fridays chaotic record situation. Ps thanks for enjoying the new YUM YUM versions and remixes
ALSO: there is a new mixtape coming out by MiD-September (15th) .Check in with me later this week to be the first one to know and receive one.

Amazing YUM YUM last Friday . Great night even though sweat was steadily dropping off my chin, nose onto my plates. But from the sheer look of it i wasn’t the only one sweating inside. At least you people had a chance of switching back and forth between the main area, our open area (finally) and even the second area, where La Boutique and N. Schiegl were running the sound politics . It was a pure primer.. In the Main area the night slowed down at about 5 a.m. in the morning . Amazing you people were holding it down for so long it must have been exhausting but at the same time it was a real dance , with sweating bodies, pumping basslines and plenty of new YUM YUM Sound . We’ve seen you go nuts to those new tunes . Everybody lost about 5 pounds after the dance . It was a pleasure, the entire night although that one turntable started acting up again. Whatever.. Boy, after such a night i am really looking forward for the upcoming YUM YUM on Friday August 4th . The two week wait will be worth it. Trust me, mad new tunes are being hooked up at present. We all had a major blast. Thanks for making it mine..

Neat, groovy & wild YUM YUM passed by and the crowd was on fire for the entire night. The tons of new versions were hitting the crowd and surpring or even catching people off guard for the unsuspected. To get an idea of Chrome & Jaws putting down the goods you best of listen to Julys YUM YUM Top Tune selection:

1.  Nowhere to run toâ€? Motown vs Nelly Furtado (YUM YUM Version) very punky
2.  Sayâ€? by Method Man & Lauryn Hill
3.  Prominxs Girl â€? Nelly Furtado & Timbaland vs INXS
4.  Love me right â€? Goapele
5.  Deja Vu â€? Beyonce & Jay-Z
6.  Don’t feel rightâ€? The Roots

Second area was occupied by the Roots Rockers Sound which is by now and especially when they are playing at YUM YUM a big step away from their traditional reggae music. PS Looking forward for Julys second bash on friday the 21st.

A truly massive one, went down. Friday was out of control, although the weather nearly killed us. that unprecedented heatwave hit us like a hammer and i still don’t get how you people could have have possibly emptied the bar? but you did and i am not talking soft drinks. Anyhow it wasn’t that hot inside the club, was it.?! without air-conditioning?!? Whatever- i don’t get it. Too bad Schu had to leave so early, because of the football tournament early saturday morning. He was the teams captain, and from what i heard they were excellent. deejay-wise: 4 hours in a row were a tough task with no partner or backup. The atmosphere was going through the roof anyhow. Thanks for making it mine once more.
Don’t forget to get this months re-edited No.1 YUM YUM Tune. A full 192/kbit version mp3. A true must-have. The rap really corresponds with the chorus or at least referrs to it.
Gnarls Barkley vs Slick Rick “Crazy in Love.Enjoy, this YUM YUM crowd pleaser that people áre really eating up at present. More new tracks coming soon..

Wow, what a night. This one went down massively. Like more and more new tracks were played and the YUM YUM Sound was the nights anthem. Hope you all enjoyed the Cds and don’t forget we are just getting in the right kind of summer vibe so expect more to come – latest on June 16th, our next YUM YUM – but still before that just to refresh your memory of this months fave tunes. Here is the YUM YUM Top Tunes selection for June.
1.  Crazy, Sad & Blue â€? Slick Rick vs Gnarls Barkley (YUM YUM Version)
2.  Family Affairâ€? Sly Stone cover – Joss Stone & John Legend
3.  Smiley Faces by Gnarls Barkley
4.  Crazy little thing called love â€? by Rihanna
5.  I love my chick â€? – Busta Rhymes
6.  Missing Sweet Love â€? by the Arbiters
(Great name – assuming they are German) – this is a great tune at present – straight from the sundance film festival where it seemed to be everybodys favourite: a version of jay-z & beyonce, m.i.a. & the Verve
