What a night – i cant remember playing a longer set then the one this night – had a rough time adjusting the PA – but it was worth the wait. The cheering, singing and dancing just made it a night to remember. Our new Top Tune Selection really made an impact: 1. London Payback – James Brown vs Fergie (YUM YUM Vers) 2. Canââ¬â¢t hurry Loveâ? – The Supremes vs KRS-1 (YUM YUM Vers) 3. âShe Bopâ? Cindy Lauper vs Nelly Furtado 4. âTake control by Amerie (strongest production out there) 5. âStereoâ – John Legend 6. âDaydreaminâ? Lupe Fiasco & Jill Scott (+ his entire Album) 7. âShe wants a Sey backâ? Justin Timberlake vs N.e.r.d.Somehow i started taking songs that i do not like, like Fergies London Bridge, and try to mold it into something that i very much enjoy – like the ââ¬ÅLondon Payback�? mix. Ps there is definitely not anything out there that a little James Brown injection couldnââ¬â¢t hype. The YUM YUM set and sound is growing and flourishing. |
The 1st YUM YUM in November is around the corner and waiting to be unleashed this Friday, November 3rd. Of course a new month also means a new YUM YUM Top Tunes selection – which is gonna be online from tomorrow on (Also all the new goodies & funnies). I know you are gonna like these fine new tunes, as they are mostly dipping into the soul side of music (think Motown). With the original team of Chrome & Jaws in the main area and a nice backup with

Last Fridays YUM YUM was mad packed. Too bad the situation with the second area wasn’t cleared, as it was shut down early while there still were masses of people inside. The whole night was for a YUM YUM night a bit too much reggae flavoured – as of course the Roots Rockers were playing in the main area. I know a wee bit of the YUM YUM sound was missing and it wasn’t the regular kind of night, but it was good after all and next time it will be back to the YUM YUM Sound in its original content and style. With the original cast/crew of Chrome & Jaws. So next big YUM YUM night with a new playlist on Friday November 3rd 2006. Looking forward. Here is a more spiritual inviation to this weekends YUM YUM mass. The first one will be this Friday October 20th at Registratur with selectors Chrome, Roots Rockers and a record release party next door. While the second one will follow the Day after: Saturday October 21st in NRW with Djs Tand Williams and Max. Don’t forget to check our YUM YUM Top Tune selection for October with everybodys YUM YUM favourites

Its gonna be a heck of a show with plenty of good music and feelgood (great) tunes from all over the place – dug up a couple of YUM YUM classics to blend it in with some of the better new releases and all the stuff that we are diggin at present. Put on a grin, a nice dress and some dancing shoes. Its like that David Bowie Video “Put on your dancing shoes and sing the blues..” . Friday is gonna be a heavy night and saturdays gonna be an equally big mashfest up north. really looking forward for two great nights, each being a hell of a dance. See you friday..
