All YUM YUM mixtapes are online, menu > music > mixtapes or check them out as podcasts.
We have calculted how many people have been introduced to the YUM YUM sound via online mixes, Cds and the external dowonload a la zshare. The number is freightening (our last upload on zshare alone had a mad 80.000 combined downloads – and that was on an external wordpress page). An incredible number when you consider that this was one of the many ways we offered them. running strong after such a long time. Great – the YUM YUM set and sound is changing as is everything, to stay ahead of teh game while maintaing the same attitude – and that has always been niceness…
so enjoy the mixes – past and present – enjoy a cool beer and kick back peoples…
Already for the fourth time YUM YUM took place in Karlsruhe´s neat club “Die Stadtmitte” last friday.
As always the crowd was great and friendly, people were really enjoying all our YUM YUM sounds and kept on singing till the early morning. Our new Mixtape which we handed out was gone in no time and it seems like the people in Karlsruhe are really thankful for having proper club music without any boundries in their town. We are definetly looking foward to establish YumYum in Karlsruhe allthough there is plenty of work left to do. To get an imression how YUM YUM goes down in Karlsruhe go visit “Die Stadtmitte” every first friday a month. After Max Mausser and NotFx Duisburgs own Tand Williams will be next to play there.
Now this one’s going to be off the hook. On Sat Nov 15th we will celebrate our November YUM YUM at Duisburg’s Hundertmeister. Doors will be open at 11 PM sharp as always. DJs of the night will be no one less than not:fx, Max Mausser and Tand Williams plus a special guest which not even I’m aware of by now. So you see you will be in for a treat with all the new YUM YUM sound and classic material. If you wonder what’s the occasion for having one quarter of the dirty dozen don’t worry… if you’ll already know… well… you know.

PS: As last Friday in Munich the first 100 guests will receive the official YUM YUM ‘All I Can Do Is Love You’ Tour Mix CD (which starts on Nov 21st btw). So you’re better be an early bird (because the bird is the word). In case you will be abducted by aliens at the time you’ll find the mix in our very own podcast soon enough.
This one s gonna be really huge – if last YUM YUM in munich was an indicator – check the last comic book , it will going down this Friday @ Registratur in Munich with Djs Chrome & Special Guest Anonymous (Helsinki/FIN) and 2nd area being a Top Friend Floor with Not:fx & Norbert Schiegl. Finally the transcending phase is over where we had to re-convert our audience to new musical styles – but still keeping the whole YUM YUM vibe of friendly lively soulful music with a singing audience filled with smiley faces. The YUM YUM crowd took it with extreme ease and adapted just like we did and now they are the ones pushing things. They know whats up – it seems only the other promoters and clubdjs (with a few exceptions) haven’t caught up yet and are still booking and playing yesteryears music. All musical boundaries are only in your heads, i have been playing that wildstyle all my life and now the time is ripe since most ipods have better music to offer than the average dj – meaning thre is a wide acceptance in the audience if not demanding.
The new website design is doing its thing as well our newly set up yumbrella network. Ps this month we will try something different with this months YUM YUM top tunes. You will be the ones deciding what the charts will be. Have fun and come back Thursday for the final results.
